Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This special issue titled "Emerging Frontiers in Microbiota Research: From Health to Disease" aims to explore the rapidly evolving field of microbiota research and its profound implications for human health and disease. The human microbiota, consisting of trillions of microorganisms residing within and on the surface of the human body, has emerged as a key player in various physiological processes, ranging from metabolism and immune function to neurological development.

This special issue seeks to showcase cutting-edge research that sheds light on the intricate interplay between microbiota and human health. It will delve into the emerging frontiers of microbiota research, unraveling new insights, and exploring the potential applications of this knowledge for preventing, diagnosing, and treating a wide array of diseases. Researchers are encouraged to submit their latest findings, original research articles, and comprehensive reviews which elucidate the dynamic role of microbiota in health and disease.

By gathering state-of-the-art research in this special issue, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the complex microbial communities that inhabit the human body and their impact on human health. The findings presented will pave the way for the development of microbiota-targeted interventions, personalized medicine approaches, and innovative strategies for disease prevention and treatment.
