Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to introduce the special issue "Diet and Nutrition in Metabolic Disease: Pathophysiology and Modulation" for the Journal of Biological Regulators and Homeostatic Agents. This issue aims to explore the intricate relationship between diet, nutrition, and metabolic diseases, shedding light on their pathophysiology and potential modulation strategies.

The prevalence of metabolic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and metabolic syndrome is rapidly increasing worldwide, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of their underlying mechanisms. This special issue covers key areas such as cardiometabolic risk factors, overweight and obesity, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and fatty acid metabolism. Moreover, the role of phytochemicals, antioxidants, and dietary supplements in modulating metabolic diseases will be extensively examined. By delving into the field of food and nutrition sciences, this issue aims to provide insights into how dietary interventions can positively impact metabolic health.

We invite researchers, clinicians, and scientists to contribute their original research, reviews, and perspectives to this special issue, ultimately advancing our knowledge of diet and nutrition in metabolic disease management.
